This is the evil mask that was sealed in Kagome's store house. When it was carved centuries ago, a piece of wood from a tree with a shard of the shikon no tama was used, and as a result the mask was evil and powerful and could attatch itself to humans, and turn their bodies into goo. Now the mask was sealed away by Kagome's grandfather's grandfather, and had about fifty talismans plastered all over it's paper package to keep it from escaping. However, Kagome decides to bring the jewel shards back with her, and their power awakens the evil killer mask. Charming, huh. Well, after catching the storehouse on fire, the evil mask goes on a killing rampage and ends up fighting Kagome, Inuyasha, and even Sota in a construction site. Of course, the mask loses, chopped into four little pieces by the wonderful tetsusaiga. This mask, appearing only in the Episode: Terror of the Anicent Noh Mask, killed more people than monsters usually manage to. I'm going to attribute that happening to Kagome's being in school. Yup. This is the only time I've ever seen that Sota was brave, tho, so it's an okay episode. Anyway, in the manga, the body of the mask was completely different. When i get time, I'll scan a pic and put it up.
